LOCAL CHILDREN participated in a vast range of sporting activities recently when Kings Foundation came to Lomond School Sports Hall & Facilities.

Kings Camp

The popular Summer activity camp, held in conjunction with the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC), ran for 1 packed week from Monday 1st to Friday 5th April 2024 open to Service children, children of Naval Base workers and members of the Helensburgh and Lomond community.

Some 47 kids passed through the camp over the week, enjoying a range of activities designed to promote an active, healthy, lifestyle.

Sponsored by the RNRMC and Captain of the Base, Captain Elaine Boyd, with grants provided by the RNRMC charity, the event was open to children aged five to seventeen years of age over the week.

I’m thrilled to support the Kings Foundations children’s camp in Helensburgh. This initiative underscores our commitment to serving not only our naval families but also the wider Helensburgh community. It’s an opportunity for children to build lasting memories and connection.

CAPT Boyd

As well as participating in a range of Easter themed activities aimed to build confidence and teamwork. Even a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny! The support from the naval families is always greatly appreciated by our team, in addition to the enthusiasm and support from both the RNRMC and Lomond School team. We are looking forward to returning for another 2 fun packed weeks in Summer!
