Thanks to funding from Royal Navy& Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC), service personnel and families from Commander Strike Force Headquarters (CSF HQ) were able to enjoy a well-deserved Families Day this summer.
Held during the school holidays to ensure as many families as possible could attend, the event provided a rare opportunity for service personnel to gather and strengthen connections. CSF HQ is held at constant readiness to deploy globally, meaning families can often be separated at short notice. The Families Day was designed not only to offer some respite, but also to foster supportive relationships that can make a real difference during deployments.
Food, activities, and entertainment were funded as part of RNRMC’s Quality of Life Partnership, with the day including games, stalls, and fun activities for children. Around 200 attendees enjoyed a relaxed, family-focused environment.
With operational commitments preventing the unit from attending the wider HMS Nelson earlier in July, this dedicated CSF HQ day ensured that their families still felt supported, seen, and valued.
RNRMC is proud to have helped support this meaningful day for those who give so much in service of their country.
