After an exceptionally busy operational period, the Royal Navy Gibraltar Squadron (RNGS) took time to recognise the hard work and commitment of its personnel by hosting a special BBQ event for the team and their families.
With support from Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC), the event was organised by the Squadron itself and featured a bouncy castle for the children, great food, and an opportunity for colleagues and loved ones to unwind in a relaxed setting.
A spokesperson from the Squadron said:
At Royal Navy Gibraltar Squadron, it’s been an incredibly busy year. As an R0 unit delivering operations 24/7, maintaining cohesion and morale is essential. Hosting a squadron BBQ and inviting families provided a much-needed opportunity for the team to come together outside of the operational environment.
The event was a great success, and both the team and their families truly valued the opportunity to relax and connect. A sincere thank you to RNRMC for making this possible.

As ever, the RNRMC is proud to support moments like this where those who serve, and their families, are given the space to reconnect and recharge.
