Over the last decade, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC), has devised several initiatives that offer service personnel the opportunity to donate a proportion of their pay in a tax-efficient way.

The RNRMC’s Payroll Giving Scheme (PRG) has exponentially grown since its inception and is now currently used by 45% of those in the Naval Service. As the generous donations increase year on year, so too do the requests for support and assistance.

The Competition

In an effort to increase regular donations, the RNRMC will run a Payroll Giving competition between Jan and Dec 18. Not only will competition offer a considerable cash prize, but entrants will help the charity to continue its support of the Naval Service Family.

What you can win

Five prizes will be awarded to the best performing unit in each category. The five categories will be Surface Ships, Submarines, Fleet Air Arm, Royal Marines and Establishments.

The ship, unit or establishment which achieves the greatest percentage increase in individuals signed up will win £1000. This money can be creatively used to improve mess areas, organise a team-building day or pay for a BBQ and drinks!

The competition will run from 01 Jan through to 31 Dec 18 with the winners announced and prizes awarded in Jan 19.

Further information may be obtained from Mr Dean Rogers or Mr Bob Field 02393 871520.
