b'WELCOME FROM PRESIDENT IMPAIMPCT REPORACT REPORT 2018-19T 2021The publication of this Report coincides with the fifteenth anniversary of the foundation of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity; 15 years which have seen our beneficiaries fight wars, defend the peace and alleviate suffering in natural disasters around the world. These remarkable men and women put their extraordinary skills and experience to the test every day on operations around the world. For some it has cost a lot, for some it has cost everything, for their families it has brought anxiety but also pride. As we turn the page to the next fifteen years, we look back having given out over 56 million across the Royal Navy community. The pervading sense of uncertainty where global and domestic troubles are never far away looks set to continue and increase in the years ahead. It is our job to do what we can with the resources we have to alleviate the consequences of service in the Royal Navy and to ensure that we honour that service to the nation. We will continue to work with our fellow naval charities to make sure that our people know where to turn to in times of need.As last years Carrier Strike Group showed, the Royal Navy today has aAdmiral Sir Jonathon Band GCB DL truly global presence and we must be ready to offer support wheneverPresident, Royal Navy and Royal and wherever we are needed. But this also includes all those familiesMarines Charitywho wait anxiously at home, and ensuring that they have the support they need is equally important.REFLECTIONS FROM OUR PRESIDENT10 11'
