Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) is proud to have supported the Royal Navy Boxing Championships, held at HMS Raleigh, the event helped deliver a high-impact, morale-boosting event for over 650 members of the Naval Service.

The event run by the RN Boxing Association, brought together a packed crowd of Phase 1 recruits, Phase 2 trainees, and wider personnel to witness nine fiercely contested bouts between Royal Navy and Royal Marines boxers. From grassroots participants to experienced fighters, the championships offered a rare opportunity for young service personnel to see courage, discipline, and teamwork in action - live from the ringside.

With an RNRMC Quality-of-Life grant funding the lighting, sound, and professional ring hire, the event was delivered to a high standard, ensuring safety, spectacle, and accessibility for all. These elements are crucial for transforming an evening of sport into an unforgettable shared experience that strengthens the bonds between units, as well as building confidence in those just starting their Service careers.

Lt David (Harry) Hull RN, Aviation Support Officer, RFA Argus PRN, said:

“The RNBA is truly grateful for the support from the RNRMC and as you can see in the pictures hopefully the second and third order effects on the phase 1 and 2 personnel will be huge going forward in their careers.”
