The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) is looking for an experienced Commissioning Project Manager to join our Grants Team.

RNRMC is the Navy’s principal charity which exists to support every sailor, marine and their families, for life. We do this by offering grants to and working with other organisations to deliver programmes that meet the needs of our beneficiaries. We provide a world class grant making service using commissioning principles, and this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a positive impact within the Serving community.

The Commissioning Project Manager is part of the Grants team within the RNRMC, at a time when the charity’s strategy has a real focus on beneficiary need and impact. You will be providing and developing commissioning and project support, in line with the RNRMC’s commissioning and partnership funding model, implementing plans for beneficiary engagement as a key part of the commissioning cycle.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable, a team player, and a confident project manager. You will have excellent organisational skills and an ability to adapt within a changing environment during an exciting time in the Charity’s development period. You will be able to think strategically to resolve problems, have proven experience in a commissioning role with successful outcomes, and a positive attitude.

This role would ideally suit someone who has proven experience working at a senior commissioning project management level, has experience in statutory sector and line management responsibilities.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. The post holder will be based in Portsmouth at RNRMC offices in HMS Excellent, Whale Island, but expected to travel for meetings. You must possess the appropriate right to work in the UK, all offers of employment are subject to successful DBS and basic security checks.

RNRMC has a hybrid working policy which offers 40% home-working opportunities.
