James Pitt is a Partner in the London office of Lexington Partners, the world’s largest independent manager of private equity secondary and co-investment funds with $35 billion of capital under management, and is responsible for the firm’s international direct investments. He has worked in the private equity sector since 2000, prior to which he was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley & Co. in London and New York, and earlier served as a warfare officer in the Royal Navy from 1984 to 1989. He has an MBA from INSEAD in France and an undergraduate degree from City University, London.
