The role holder will be the principal member of the Transition Support team in the South West reporting to the Transition Support Case Manager who is in based Portsmouth. The role will focus on guiding those who may be considered vulnerable as they leave the Service, as well as their families, to achieve a successful transition from service life and into the wider civilian world, regardless of their needs or reason for leaving.

The successful applicant will have mature and capable interpersonal and leadership skills, a strong empathy for the Navy Family and the values of RNRMC and be keen to expand their experience to guide those who are at their most vulnerable when leaving the service. You will be an effective team player within a close-knit team and also display excellent time management and prioritization in coordinating your outputs. The role will attract a starting salary of £30-35k, depending on experience, and will include an excellent benefit package.

Previous experience of case-working or side-by-side assistance in the provision of welfare support would be an advantage, but not essential. It is more important to have a genuine interest supporting people to problem solve and achieve personal goals. It would also be an advantage to have lived experience as a Service leaver or family member of a Service leaver. In addition, you must be excited by the prospect of bringing new ideas and experience to the table in a fast, growing and dynamic organisation and be able to positively contribute to developing and delivering a first-class Transition Support service. 

You will be based in the South West, initially working from home. RNRMC will provide the necessary office equipment to permit this as well as a transport allowance to enable you conduct your role across the region.
