The successful applicant will be working at the heart of a new initiative acting as the first point of contact and triage co-ordinator for the Transition Support Service. They will play a key role in the delivery of support to vulnerable Service leavers and their families. This unique role offers the opportunity to develop assessment and casework skills by working as a locum for Transition Support Guides when necessary. Specific training will be provided to enhance the role holder’s skill set to suit the breadth and level of guidance we are aiming to deliver.

The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in maintaining contact with key partners within the Royal Navy, MoD and partner organisations while promoting the Transition Support Service and the wider offer of the RNRMC to vulnerable Service leavers, veterans, and their families. We aim to recruit someone with lived experience as a Service leaver or the direct family member of a Service leaver or person currently serving.

It is essential that you have excellent verbal communication and listening skills and have the ability to work in a highly person-centered way with a genuine interest supporting people to problem solve and achieve personal goals. In addition, you must be excited by the prospect of bringing new ideas and experience to the table in a fast growing and dynamic organisation and be able to positively contribute to developing and delivering a first-class Transition Support service.

You will be based in the Portsmouth at the RNRMC office on HMS Excellent. This role will attract a starting salary of £28-£30k, depending on experience, and will include an excellent benefit package.
