We are very pleased to announce three new themed opportunities in 2026 for organisations to apply for a 1-year innovative grant from £1,000 up to a max of £30,000. 

 



Transition and support for working age veterans.

Mental Health, Wellbeing and Resilience

Thinking of applying?

RNRMC is looking for grants piloting innovative new approaches that are inclusive and accessible for all, including minority and underrepresented groups, from organisations working with Royal Navy/Royal Marine Veterans, Serving, (including RFA and Reservists), and their Families. 

Applicants must meet the set theme and outcomes and are expected to report twice on the difference made during the grant lifetime. 

Criteria

Applications will be scored against criteria outlined in RNRMC Charity Framework of Funding Principles

 

Applicants should consider and demonstrate: 

  • Targeted support to Royal Navy/Royal Marine Veterans, Serving, RFA, Families and Reservists.
  • Innovative pilot approaches
  • Evidence of need in line with each theme and outcomes
  • Project planning, including activities, comms and marketing, staffing, costs and monitoring quality and evaluation.
  • Good governance and management structures
  • Evidence of the difference made, performance measures and evaluation

Are you helping Royal Navy/Royal Marines Veterans adjust to civilian life? 

We know that transitioning from military to civilian life can be challenging. That’s why RNRMC is offering grants up to a maximum of £30,000 to organisations delivering innovative inclusive projects that support veterans. Your project should start after 1 April.

We are seeking projects that focus on:

  • Financial capability – helping veterans manage money, avoid debt, build financial stability.
  • Peer and community support networks – creating spaces for connection, advice and shared experiences. 

Outcomes your project should achieve

  • The transition to civilian life is improved.
  • Veterans are supported with their ongoing needs post transition.
Family and Relationship Support
  • Open from: 2 February 2026
  • Closing date: 7 April 2026
  • Decision by: 24 June 2026

Are you supporting families of serving personnel or veterans? 

We recognise the challenges service life can place upon families. RNRMC is offering grants up to a maximum £30,000 to organisations delivering innovative inclusive projects that support families of serving personnel and veterans. Your project should start after 1 July.

We are seeking projects that focus on:

  • Those with caring responsibilities
  • Bereavement support
  • Special Educational or Additional needs.

Outcomes your project should achieve

  • Families are supported to improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Families are supported to maintain positive relationships.
Mental Health, Wellbeing and Resilience
  • Open from: 4th May 2026
  • Closing date: 1 July 2026
  • Decision by:  16th September 2026

 

Are you working with serving personnel, veterans or families supporting people to have improved mental health, greater resilience and feel less lonely or socially isolated?

Good mental health, wellbeing and resilience is essential for all our community. RNRMC is offering grants up to a maximum of £30,000 to organisations delivering innovative inclusive projects that support veterans, serving personnel and families. Your project should start after 1st October

We are seeking projects that focus on:

  • addressing and supporting mental health issues - to bring improved resilience
  • the expansion of social connections – to address social isolation.

 

Outcomes your project should achieve

  • Mental health is improved or sustained.
  • Beneficiaries will feel less lonely and/or be less socially isolated.
