About us Our finances Our finances Where does our money comes from? How do we distribute it? We generate income from a number of sources Our voluntary income is raised through the donations we receive from fundraisers and high-net worth individuals, from the Royal Navy’s Payroll Giving scheme, the Royal Marines’ Corps Subscriptions and from other activities and events. The remainder of our income is generated from our investment portfolio and from grants received, such as those of our partner Greenwich Hospital. We spend wisely We are a well-run and governed charity and are committed to making sure that the money you raise and donate makes a real difference to the Naval Service family. Through our grant-making, and that of our Group charities, we provide financial support, help and advice and, in cases of hardship and distress, life-changing essentials to people in need. In 2014, we gave £7.6m to support sailors, marines and their families.
