The RNRMC Snowball Race returned to HMNB Clyde in spectacular style, with nearly 1,000 snowballs racing their way from the Sportsdome to the Supermess in this much-loved annual festive event, which raised £4815 for Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity.
Following an exciting dash down the hill, we are delighted to announce this year’s winners:
Winner: Victoria (Ball #227), taking home the top prize of £1,000
Runners-up: Martin (Ball #12) and Michael (Ball #231), winning £500 and £250 respectively
The event brought together the Royal Navy and Royal Marines community in great spirits, combining friendly competition with vital fundraising to support those who serve and their families.
Natalie Lewis, RNRMC Engagement Officer for Scotland & North East, said:
The Snowball Race has once again been an incredible event. It’s fantastic to see our community come together in such a fun way to support the Royal Navy and Royal Marines family.
A huge thank you goes to race sponsor, Graham Group, and to everyone who purchased a snowball for just £5, helping to make the event such a success. 👏
Thank you to everyone who took part, supported the event and helped spread festive cheer across HMNB Clyde. Through your generosity and enthusiasm, the Snowball Race provided a memorable day for all involved while raising vital funds to support our sailors, marines and their families. 💙
