Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) is proud to have supported the RN Snowsports Festival (RNSF) in 2026, delivered by the Royal Navy Winter Sports Association. As the event’s only 5-star sponsor, RNRMC is helps to ensure one of the Royal Navy’s largest and most inclusive sporting events continues to thrive.
For over four decades, the RN Snowsports Festival brings together serving Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Fleet Auxiliary personnel, alongside Reservists, veterans and their families, for two weeks of winter sports competitions and training including disciplines such as Alpine Ski, Snowboarding, Telemark, Nordic, Bobsleigh, Luge, Skeleton and Cresta. Early registrations indicated strong interest for 2026, and post-event we’re expecting the figures to far exceed previous years.
For many participants, the festival represents a first opportunity to try skiing or snowboarding. For others, it offers the chance to develop their skills further in a competitive but supportive environment. By the end of the festival, individuals and teams are set to have built competence, confidence and camaraderie on and off the slopes.
Beyond the sport itself, the festival plays a vital role in wellbeing and team cohesion. Participants travel from across the UK, overseas bases, HM Ships and Royal Marines units, as well as Joint Service units, making the event a unique opportunity to strengthen connections across the Naval Service community.
RNRMC awarded a major grant towards the delivery of the 2026 RN Snowsports Festival, contributing to the wider programme of winter sports activity delivered by the Association. This support helps reduce financial barriers, making the event accessible to more people and ensuring families can be part of the experience.
By investing in sport, adventure and shared experiences, RNRMC continues to support morale, resilience and a sense of belonging for those who serve – and for the families who support them.
