This year’s Race Across the UK has been nothing short of epic, with teams criss-crossing the country in every way imaginable. From steam trains and scooters to ferries and even a P2000 patrol boat, we’ve been blown away by the creativity and spirit shown by every participant.
While many teams went the extra mile (literally!), one stood out above the rest for their sheer variety, innovation, and flair.
🚴🚆🛶🏆 Winners: Team Winging It
Congratulations to Amy and Queenie, the dynamic duo from Devon, also known as Team Winging It — winners of this year’s Creative Commute Award!
Their name may be “Winging It”, but their journey was anything but random. With a carefully packed kit and an open mind, Amy and Queenie embraced a whole host of transport methods throughout the week. They rode:
- 🚆 Trains
- 🚌 Buses
- ⛵ Boats
- ⚡ E-bikes (which they brought along themselves!)
But what truly stole the show? Their unforgettable grand finale, kayaking down the River Dart to reach the finish line in Dartmouth. A spectacular and fitting end to a week of bold decisions, strategic thinking, and unshakable enthusiasm.
