During late November and throughout December, RNRMC supports serving personnel and families from the Royal Navy and Royal Marines through a wide range of festive events designed to bring people together at what can be a challenging time of year. From family pantomime trips in Portsmouth and Christmas stockings for those deployed under the sea, to unit celebrations and community gatherings, our funding helps make moments possible that might otherwise be out of reach.
For many of our beneficiaries, this support can make a real difference to their Christmas.
On behalf of the Commanding Officer and the rest of the team at HMS COLLINGWOOD I would like to extend my thanks to RNRMC for their contribution to the HMS COLLINGWOOD Junior Rates Christmas Dinner. The support provided from RNRMC allowed our Sailors to come together during a key time of the year, boosting morale and providing a real sense of community, particularly for those away from home. RNRMC’s support allowed Officer’s within HMS COLLINGWOOD to personally serve over 600 Junior Rates and will be a lasting memory particularly for our Phase 2 trainees who will be experiencing this for the first time. The event was a resounding success and would not have been possible without the support of the RNRMC.

We are extremely grateful to the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) for their generous grant, which enabled the successful delivery of the Clearance Divers event held on HMS WARRIOR on 17 December 2025.
This funding was critical in providing a rare and valuable opportunity to bring together the majority of all serving Clearance Divers in one location. Given the geographically dispersed nature of the branch and the high operational tempo under which it operates, such a gathering would not have been possible without the support of RNRMC.
We are sincerely thankful to RNRMC for recognising the importance of this event and for their continued commitment to supporting the people of the Naval Service. Their generosity made a tangible and enduring impact on all those who attended.

Christmas is traditionally a time for bringing together friends, family, and loved ones, creating memories and sharing moments of joy. Sadly, for some serving personnel and families within the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, this isn’t always possible due to deployments, operational commitments, or the demands of service life. That’s why, as the principal charity of the Royal Navy, it’s vital that we continue to support our beneficiaries at Christmas, and throughout the year.
It was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Christmas Filled baps and mince pies were provided as food. Themed party games and a quiz was held with prizes given to the winners

Our grants help create opportunities for connection, reflection, and relaxation. Whether it’s a Junior Rates meal, a children’s Christmas party, a carol service, or a long-awaited social event following months of deployment, these moments offer much-needed respite and a sense of togetherness. They allow families to reconnect, friendships to be strengthened, and serving personnel to feel valued and supported by the wider Royal Navy and Royal Marines family.
The funds have been used to date to decorate the messes and purchase goodies not included on the MOD food contract ready for breaking out when they go into operational standdown shortly. This alongside buffet items to be used on Christmas Day to allow the Chefs some well-deserved down time.

As 2025 comes to a close, we would like to wish all our beneficiaries from the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, RFA, Reservists, their family, and friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, wherever you are in the world. We are proud to stand alongside you and remain committed to supporting you, at Christmas and always.
