On the 4th of November, serving members of the Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service (QARNNS) and members of the QARNNS Association held their annual remembrance service at Portsmouth Cathedral.
The QARNNS Association brings together serving personnel, reservists and retired members of the QARNNS / Voluntary Aid Detachments (RN) of all ranks. The organisation provides an important link between the generations - offering opportunities to reconnect, share memories as well as form new friendships built on shared experiences, support, and laughter.
Bobby Moth, Social Secretary, QARNNS Association.
This years' service saw around 100 attendees, the event offered a poignant opportunity to honour the lives and service of past and present naval nurse's, recognising their vital contribution to the health and wellbeing of the Naval community.
Supported by a Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) grant, refreshments were provided following the service.
As the QARNNS Association continues to uphold its proud traditions, gatherings such as this serve as a reminder of the strength of connection that endures across generations of the Naval family.
