Joy and laughter filled HMS Sultan as the establishment celebrated Christmas with its much-loved annual Children’s Christmas event. The whole-force celebration welcomed nearly 400 children and adults.
An RNRMC grant enabled organisers to fund the entertainment and support the purchase of gifts for every child, providing each child with a book as their Christmas gift from Santa at the event. Highlighting the festive period, seasonal events for serving personnel and their families offer a significant boost to morale and building on the success of previous years.
Each year HMS SULTAN arranges a children Christmas party for all. This event is sponsored by the Warrant Officers and Senior Rates Mess, the Wardroom and SULTAN’s Central Amenities Fund showing how important the SULTAN Family is to the command. As we all know costs are going up and to ensure all our families can attend and our children has the best possible time once again RNRMC has shown their continued support.
With this grant, we have been able to add more entertainment to this event and ensure our children have the very best time!!! On behalf of all at SULTAN and across the Navy, thank you once again to RNRMC for their support – you will all be on Santa’s ‘Nice List’!

The event was brought to life by dedicated volunteers from the mess, including additional support from Aggies. Families enjoyed a wide range of activities including food and entertainment, real reindeer, a visit from Santa (complete with a gift for every child), a craft table, cinema screenings, inflatables and balloon modelling - all designed with the children firmly at the heart.
We are proud to support events that bring naval families together. Read more about our grants on our dedicated page here.
