Families and friends gather to celebrate Fireworks nights across the UK

Remember, remember, the 5th of November! Explosions of colour erupted in the night skies to celebrate one of the most popular family calendar dates of the year. RNRMC annually support Royal Navy and Royal Marines fireworks nights across the UK, bringing families together for moment of fun, and quality time spent with each other.

Each year, Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity support fireworks nights across the Naval Service – helping serving personnel and their families enjoy moments of fun, connection, and quality time together. These evenings offer more than spectacular displays; they bring warmth, camaraderie, and a chance to relax and reconnect amidst the pace of Service life.

A look at this year’s celebrations

BRNC Dartmouth 
Officer Cadets, serving personnel and their families came together on 6 November for a professional fireworks display and family-friendly activities on the college grounds. The evening promised a safe, inclusive, and uplifting space for the BRNC community to enjoy a timeless tradition while strengthening bonds beyond the training environment.

BRNC Staff, Officer Cadets and families enjoyed an evening of fireworks in support of the RNRMC.  Fostering the spirit of service and giving back by raising vital funds to support sailors, marines, and their families across the naval community. With over £662.98 made on the evening, Captain Bray said ‘A great evening was had by all, in addition to supporting the charity at the heart of the naval family-the RNRMC

Commando Logistics Regiment Royal Marines, RMB Chivenor 
On the 5th of November, Chivenor’s annual Garrison Fireworks and Bonfire Night drew more than 700 attendees. Alongside a 20-minute display from Fire Magic Pyrotechnics, families enjoyed children’s rides, free treats, and hearty food from ESS. The event continues to be a highlight of the year – boosting morale and creating memories that last long after the night ends.

This year, Wednesday 5th November 2025 marks the date for another highly anticipated and hugely successful RMB Chivenor Garrison Fireworks and Bonfire Night. Each year, personnel and Civil Servants from the Garrison, their family and friends attend the event in their hundreds, and enjoy a huge bonfire, attractions, various food and drink, and a thrilling 20 minute fireworks display on the airfield. The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) have always been extremely generous in supporting the event with charitable grants, and 2025 was no different! The Garrison and their families are incredibly grateful for the continued support of the RNRMC which brings joy to such a large amount of people each year.

45 Commando Royal Marines, RM Condor 
Also on 5 November, RM Condor hosted its final major family event of the year before upcoming deployments. The base welcomed personnel and families for an evening of food, refreshments, and entertainment capped by a professional fireworks show from Fireworx. It’s a well-earned moment of togetherness and celebration for all who support the unit.  Funding provided by Service Day Pay Giving (SDPG).

HMS Excellent 
At Whale Island, HMS Excellent had an action-packed evening with fireworks, a fairground, and a light show, alongside face painting and family entertainment. With low-cost tickets and free attractions, the event ensured that everyone could enjoy the fun, regardless of budget – recognising the pressures of the cost-of-living and putting community first.

Commando Training Centre Royal Marines (CTCRM) 
On 7 November, CTCRM’s Fireworks Night once again brought the unit and their families together to celebrate achievements and share time away from the demands of training. Bouncy castles, magicians, and children’s entertainment filled the evening before a grand professional display lights up the Devon sky – reinforcing unity and pride across the Commando community.  Funding provided by Service Day Pay Giving (SDPG).

RNAS Culdrose 
A beloved annual tradition, Culdrose’s Families Firework Night welcomed around 1,300 attendees. Complete with a bonfire, hog roast, live music and flashing toys for the children, it’s was an inclusive and affordable event for all ranks and rates – particularly meaningful this year as many families have loved ones deployed on Operation High Mast. Warm food, laughter, and brilliant displays make it one of the most anticipated nights of the year.

Moments that matter

From bonfires to light shows, these fireworks nights represent far more than entertainment – they are moments of unity, belonging, and joy for those who serve and their family and friends.
