The Flying Tigers calendar was produced to support the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) by 814 Naval Air Squadron, Merlin Force and our supporting teams at Royal Navy Air Station Culdrose.

The Calendar

Organised and shot in their own personal time, around a busy schedule with half having just returned from sea and half about to deploy to the Middle East.

814 Naval Air Squadron has Merlin MK2 helicopters that have a primary role of Submarine hunting. Its sensors and equipment make it integral to the defence of the UK’s new Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers and they get involved with a multitude of missions from Maritime Counter Terrorism to supporting humanitarian crisis.

814 Naval Air Squadron are known as the Flying Tigers and are full members of the NATO Tiger Association, an organisation of more than 40 fast jet and helicopter Squadrons that promote tactical development and cooperation between our fellow NATO members.

This calendar would not have been possible without the dedication of the service personnel from RNAS Culdrose, the support of the RNRMC and a group of talented students from Falmouth University. Please spare a thought for all the service men and women of the Armed Forces spending Christmas away from their loved ones this year.

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity is the charity of the Naval Service. Over 700,000 men, women and children belong to the United Kingdom’s naval family.

Whether serving, veterans or loved ones, all benefit from the support of The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity, which has distributed over £45 million since its formation to make a real difference, not just to the lives of individuals, but also to the welfare and morale of Royal Navy and Royal Marines units and sister charities.

By purchasing this calendar you are helping us in our mission of a world in which our sailors, marines, and their families, are valued and supported, for life. Thank you. If you can do more, we’d love to hear from you.
