The RNRMC is the principal charity of the Royal Navy and is continuing on their exciting journey of implementing our bold and ambitious strategy. Our vision remains the same; in a world in which sailors, marines and their families are valued and supported, for life.
The charity is run by a Board of Trustees drawn from Serving personnel, former Serving personnel and those who have no direct Service experience. We are now looking for a Trustee who has significant marketing experience as well as the passion and commitment to help deliver our Strategy and Vision. No direct Service experience is necessary.
Ideal candidates will be those that are committed to helping us provide support to our beneficiaries and who can demonstrate leadership experience up to Board level. We are looking for a strategic thinker with sound, objective judgement, a willingness to speak their mind, work as part of a team, and have a good knowledge of sound governance and its practical application. Above all, an empathy and commitment to honour our vision is a must.
The Trustee Board meets three times a year, usually in Portsmouth or London and also has an annual Away Day which is usually held off site at a military establishment. Trustees also serve on a Board Sub-Committee. This is a volunteer role with normal expenses reimbursed as required.
