The spectacular Edinburgh Riding of the Marches attracted more than 20,000 spectators on Sunday 17 September to Edinburgh’s famous Royal Mile.

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) will receive a donation from the money raised from the event. Regional Fundraiser at the RNRMC, Dean Rogers, was on hand at the event to meet some of the riders and fundraisers.

This spectacular cavalcade is a re-enactment of the return of the Captain of the Trained Band (responsible for keeping order within the City) to Edinburgh with the tragic news of the defeat at the battle of Flodden, 1513.
