HMS Drake will once again offer Service children the unique opportunity to experience the UK’s favourite sport, activity camps run by Kings Camps and subsidised by the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC).

Kings Camps are the leading provider of holiday sports and activity day camps for children and work closely with many Naval communities across the UK. As a charitable organisation, Kings Camps focuses on the experience of each child attending camp. With inspiring coaches, children experience a wide range of sports and activities whilst making new friends and developing a love for an active, healthy lifestyle.

With 25 years’ experience, more than half a million children already have happy Kings Camps memories; as well as a wide range of sports, socialising, interacting and learning new skills are all part of the experience. With full use of the establishments sports facilities including swimming pool and climbing wall, the inspiring Kings Camps coaches ensure all children are fully involved in the activities. The camps, for children aged 5-17 years, are based at the Wyvern Centre, HMS Drake on the following dates:

Tuesday 29 March – Friday 1 April

Monday 1 August   – Friday 5 August

Monday 8 August   – Friday 12 August

Monday 15 August – Friday 19 August



Thanks to funding by the RNRMC and Kings Foundation, the nominal charge per child for each week is discounted from £170 to just £60 for Service personnel.
