829 Naval Air Squadron hosted a successful Squadron Families Day in August following funding from The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC).

Entertainment was provided for the whole family, including; bouncy castles for the children and a race car experience. RNAS Culdrose's Fire Section provided a fire engine, while there was a Harrier cockpit for Squadron families' to sit in. There was also the opportunity to fly in a Merlin helicopter and catering was provided for Squadron personnel and their families.

It was a memorable event for all involved, especially as this may be the last Families Day before the decommissioning of the Squadron next year.

The affiliated charity of 829 NAS, Children’s Hospice Southwest, also attended the event. This gave them the opportunity to spread the word of what they can provide for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

We are delighted to hear that the families day was enjoyed by all involved and thank Commanding Officer K Burbidge and the rest of 829 Naval Air Squadron for continuing to support the RNRMC and promote our work.
